Drag Queen Race

Following a lackluster dinner at Rosemary's Thyme, TWSF headed over to catch the annual drag queen race in Dupont Circle. The drag queen race is held every year the Tuesday before Halloween. It is essentially a fabulously organized parade where the more adventurous and colorful of DC's residents dress up in drag and strut their stuff up and down 17th street. The night is highlighted by a footrace (in high heels) that formally ends the night's pageantry. After making some clandestine vodka cranberries, TWSF scoped out a spot at the beginning of the racetrack. Check out our amature video of the start of the race and some candid photos we snapped after the festivities. We love our new neighborhood.

White House crasher and Real Housewives of DC star Michaele Salahi looking good from behind.

Not sure what he's supposed to be.

The reason I didn't pose for any pictures.

Phew, that was a tough race.
